Broken handle doesnt work
I was happy with this cooker while it lasted which wasnt long. Without using it much the handle which is also the start switch broke. I tried duct taping it to make it work but no go. I looked up the parts replacement price but do I want to throw $65 good money after bad? Makes more sense to get another cooker without this design flaw. :2010-09-16 01:43:30
Aroma 910DX.... buying a second one :) 900E
I just placed an order for the AROMA AST-900E. I had my 900DX for six years and worked wonderfully until the temperature gauge jammed on me and would not come off or turn. First off as a single person the Aroma oven is a HUGE MONEY SAVER. I told my landlord to take my regular stove out because I did not need it any more. The 900DX worked wonderfully it still does just would not cook anything outside 350 degrees. With baking goods yes the bottom does not brown but once you turn the food upside down the oven does it. With Pizzas what I do is first cook it in the Aroma then brown the bottom on the non stick frying pan and get the same results as a wood burn oven. One has to experiment with cooking times and temperature. I even use the Aroma lid to cook things inside a frying pan to have heat from the top. If you add water to the Aroma bowl under the container you are cooking in you get THE BEST cooking effect ever. It is amazing for Bain Marie recipes. Cleaning is a breeze too. BEST KITCHEN ITEM IVE EVER OWNED
So my brother asked me recently about getting an air oven. He knows I am a big fan of my air oven so I ran down to the kitchen to confirm the model number. I have been using the Aroma AeroMatic AST-900E for 3 or 4 years now.
IT IS BY FAR THE BEST PIECE OF KITCHEN EQUIPMENT THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED. Ive had a Viking range Dacor ovens and this little gadget has been the best item in my kitchen for the past few years. I started using it as a result of my reading of the damaging effects of microwave ovens on nutrients and was searching for an alternative.
I use the Aroma air oven for almost every meal. I crisp fries (veggie wedges - great product from Peas of Mind) although sweet potato fries (and regular potato fries) are crisped to perfection and quicker than in a bigger conventional oven. I heat all my food in the air oven. I cook fish in it. I cook asparagus in it. (Recommendation: use the square glass Pyrex storage from one of those Pyrex glass storage sets - :2010-09-16 01:43:30
noisywhite dials instead of red and made in china??
Ive got my aroma but it is little different than I thought.
First of all my timer and temperature dial is white color instead of
red. Second of all my friends aroma oven is "made in USA" instead of "made in China". Also when I use my aroma oven I hear whooooooooooooooooooooong~~~ sound and tick tok tick tok timer sound constantly(which is bearable). But this constant tak tak tak tak tak~~ sound is so annoying. It gets more noisy sometimes so Im wondering if its my particular aroma oven or is it normally this noisy. I do not have any questions about its efficency
but the noise level is a big minus. Does anyone have noise problem with your aroma oven? If its just mine I would return this and get a new one. Without the noise problem I would give 5 star plus!! :2010-09-16 01:43:30
